Half Day Retreat for the Laity (Durrës)

On Saturday, 24th February 2024, the members in Durres organised a half day retreat for the laity in the Diocese of Tirana-Durres with the participation of other lay movements. The retreat started with a moment of prayer animated by members of the Neocatechumenal Way. Then a keynote reflection was shared by Warren Vella sdc. The title of the reflection was “Peter also was standing with them, warming himself” (John 18:18). Then the participants were divided into groups, where they had the opportunity for a spiritual conversation using the method proposed during the Synod. A moment of Eucharistic Adoration animated by the Focolare movement followed. During this moment of prayer, many were those who recieved the sacrament of confession. A time for sharing in the plenary was followed by a concluding mass concelebrated by the archbishop Monsignor Arjan Dodaj. All those who attended not only appreciated the fact that they joined other Catholic believers from the diocese, but also that this was a moment of grace that helped them during their Lenten Journey.
