Lenten Talks for Aspirants (Malta & Gozo)

Thanks be to God, the Society organized lenten talks for Aspirants (Years 9-11) spread over three days with the theme I have met him. These were held between Thursday 15 February and Saturday 17 February 2024 at the DĦS Conference Centre and were led by the SDC members: Johann Tabone, Marjoe Cassar and Karol P. Debono. The Aspirants had the opportunity to participate actively during these talks while thinking about three characters who allowed Jesus to change their lives on their encounter with him: Nicodemus, The Blind Beggar and Lazarus. The third day ended with a moment of adoration in front of the Holy Eucharist. During the three days, a priest was present to hear confessions.
The same meetings were also held for Gozitan Aspirants. The Aspirants met together for three days as well. The meetings were held in three different places: Nadur, Ta’ Sannat and Għajnsielem.
At the end of the last talk, the SDC offered the booklet I have met him to each Aspirant so that through it they can continue to reflect on other characters who met Jesus. This booklet is the latest book that has just been published by Preca Publications.
We thank God and ask him to continue to bless the apostolate that the SDC performs with these teenagers. Let us keep them in our prayers!
