First Demonstration of Baby Jesus in Durrës

On December 22, the SDC members in Durrës, Albania organized for the first time ever a festive procession through several streets of Durrës to remind everyone of the main reason for the Christmas season: The Incarnation of God!
Keeping the simplicity of the birth of Jesus, according to the inspiration of St. George Preca, and accompanied by a statue of the baby Jesus, candle lights, songs and banners with biblical messages, part of the parish community has walked together witnessing to the mission of the Church: to bring Christ, light of the world, to every person.
The main purpose of the procession was to spread the devotion to the mystery of the Incarnation of God – the center of the Christian faith – and to remind everyone of God’s love for us: God so loved the world that he gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life (Jn 3, 16).
