In Sagua la Grande (Cuba), three special meeting were held: one for children and adolescents who participate in the SDC centre; another for those who live in the residential area where members impart catechism lessons every Sunday; and one for the San Jorge Preca Group. In all of these meeting everyone was given a crib, a baby Jesus or a statue prepared by the Members. Besides, the SDC Members organized a crib competition for all the children of the parish and also a charity activity in aid of about 20 very poor people. In this occasion, the children and adolescents who attend the SDC centre gifted a small hamper to each one of them. This activity was the first of its kind and hopefully, it can be repeated in the following years.
Two demonstrations of Baby Jesus were organized. One was held on Christmas eve. It parted from the SDC Centre to the parish church where children and adolescents walked and sang a couple of Christmas songs . A Nativity drama was called La Niña Ciega was also performed. Another demonstration was held on Sunday morning in the residential area of Bloques del Cabaret, during which the children also had the opportunity to visit 3 very sick people in their homes, giving them an image of baby Jesus).
