Annual Diocesan Meeting for Catechists

On November 13, 2024, the Society of Christian Doctrine (SDC) hosted the annual diocesan meeting for catechists of the Archdiocese of Malta at the SDC Auditorium in Blata Bajda. A commendable number of catechists were present. Following an introductory message by Rev. Dr. David Torpiano, Mgr. George Frendo, O.P., Archbishop Emeritus of Tirana-Durres (Albania), delivered an inspiring reflection on the theme: We give an Answer for the Hope that is in us! Frendo emphasised the importance of catechists serving as prophetic signs of hope in today’s world, helping those they encounter find comfort and strength in Jesus Christ, the greatest sign of hope for all humanity. The meeting concluded with a blessing for all present catechists.
