Participation in First Proclamation and Evangelisation Course (Lipa)

Upon the invitation of Fr Mark Demanuele MSSP from the Office for the Promotion of the New Evangelisation in the Philippines, the SDC members in Lipa have begun attending an online course on First Proclamation and Evangelisation.
This course is offered by the Franciscan University of Steubenville Catechetical Institute, based in Ohio, United States, in collaboration with the Episcopal Commission of Evangelisation and Catechesis of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference (ECEC) of the Philippines. Through the ECEC, catechists, lay leaders, and evangelisers across various dioceses in the Philippines receive mentoring to form missionary disciples.
The weekly sessions are delivered by Dr William Keimig, Deputy Director of the Catechetical Institute at Franciscan University. The catechetics programme at the university was founded by the late Barbara Morgan, whose methodology is examined in depth throughout the course. God willing, the programme will run until May 2025.
