First Holy Communion in Manchay (Peru)

On November 30, 2024, a group of children in the parish of Manchay received their First Holy Communion. These children were prepared for the sacrament by members and pre-candidates of the SDC Center of Lurin at the chapel of Santo Domingo de la Calzada Señor de Los Milagros. On the same day, some children also received the sacrament of Baptism.
This event marked the first time these sacraments were administered since the SDC began assisting with catechesis in Manchay. The SDC expresses its gratitude to God and Father Fernando, the parish priest of Manchay, for the opportunity to serve the people of God on the outskirts area of Lima.
