Commissioning of Catechists (Cuba)

On Saturday, October 12, 2024, the SDC Members of the SDC in Sagua la Grande, Cuba, Coordinators of the Diocesan Catechesis Commission, organised a commissioning ceremony for catechists at the Diocesan Sanctuary of Santa Clara. This event was attended by nearly 200 catechists and missionaries from all parishes. There were two reflections based on the Aparecida Document: Disciples and Missionaries of Jesus, and afterwards, Bishop Mgr Arturo González, celebrated Mass. At the end of the Mass, the bishop gave his blessing to all present and distributed a certificate to the 110 catechists who participated in the Catechetical Methodology course organised by the SDC Members at the beginning of this year. Throughout this day, many catechists took the opportunity to purchase catechetical books and resources published by the SDC.
