Christmas in Ruiru

Thanks be to God, for another consecutive year, the Ruiru SDC centre celebrated Christmas with various activities and events according to the SDC tradition. Every Sunday of Advent was characterised with an explanations of the relative Gospel and a reflection on how one can translate the Word of God in his daily life. Christmas carol singing, the School of Betlehem and other celebrations were held during the Christmas novena together with an inspirational Christmas movie.
On Sunday 17th December, all those children who attend the Sunday morning sacramental formation had a special Christmas celebration in which Christmas gifts were distributed to every boy and girl. In the evening, a meeting for parents and the Friends of St. George Preca Group was organised. The group leaders of Kiratina were, for the first time, invited for this meeting.
Monday 18th December marked the Christmas gift-giving ceremony for the groups of Preparatory and Elects.
This year, the joy of Christmas was also shared with the children of Kiratina. In these last weeks, the Ruiru SDC centre started its appostale in Kiratina every Sunday morning.
