Blessing of the SDC Residence (Lipa)

“Lord, be close to your servants, members of the Society of Christian Doctrine, who are living in this house and ask for your blessing.”
With these words, Archbishop Gilbert Garcera blessed the residence of the SDC members in Marawoy, Lipa, on Saturday, 8th March, 2025. The event began with Scripture readings and intercessory prayers for the Church, families, benefactors, and the work of evangelisation. This was followed by the rite of blessing and concluded with a Marian hymn.
Among those present were Fr Jayson Siapco, parish priest of Santo Niño Parish, Marawoy, Monsignor Ericson Tio, the Archbishop’s Secretary, Fr Manuel Lucero, rector of St Francis de Sales Seminary, Rev Joshua Garcia, the assigned deacon at the parish, and the Tiu family, owners of the residence. After the blessing, members and guests gathered for a meal at the residence.
The SDC thanks the Lord for this moment of community and looks forward to continued collaboration with the Archdiocese and the parish in spreading the Good News.
