Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary is a deeply comforting and beautiful sign in the life of anyone who truly loves and serves God. Genuine devotion flows from a heart that fears the Lord and seeks to live according to His will. Mary offers her grace to those who walk faithfully in God’s ways.
Many saints have taught that honouring Mary is a sign of being called to share in eternal life. When Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth, she joyfully proclaimed that all generations would call her blessed. This blessing is especially true for those whom God has chosen to dwell with Him forever in glory. Even though many on earth may not know her or believe in her, her words remain firm and true.
Those who sincerely honour Mary can be assured that they have received a precious gift from God. Their devotion is not a coincidence, but a visible sign of God’s mercy already present in their lives.
Through Mary’s powerful intercession, countless souls have found their way to heaven. That is why she is fittingly called the Gate of Heaven. It was through her that Jesus came into the world, and it is through her that God’s graces continue to flow upon those who long for salvation. Christ chose her as His Mother, was born of her, and through her began His saving mission, culminating in His resurrection and eternal reign.
Mary continues to be the way by which the faithful draw near to God. With confidence, we knock on this door, trusting that through her help, we will be led from the trials of life into eternal peace.
To live in reverent fear of God is to find deep peace in Mary. She is the cause of joy for all those destined to dwell forever in God’s presence.
Rejoice, O Virgin Mary,
for you have found favour before God.
You who believed the words of the Archangel Gabriel.
While a virgin, you brought forth a son,
God made man, and after childbirth,
you remained a pure virgin.
O Mother of God intercede for us.
