“You have given me a story…”

From Friday 13th to Sunday 15th June 2025, the SDC in Malta organised a reading seminar at the DĦS Conference Centre, with the theme: “You have given me a story…”. The seminar focused on the life and writings of Flannery O’Connor, an American Catholic writer whose 100th birth anniversary is being commemorated in 2025.
SDC members and candidates took part in the event, together with a number of friends of the SDC. Two main presentations were delivered by Craig Martell and Fernanda Rossini, who visited Malta at the SDC’s invitation. These were complemented by presentations on O’Connor’s short stories and screenings of films related to her life and work.
