Weekly Encounters with the Youth in Darasa (Lipa)

The first of eight planned sessions with the theme Rooted in Christ was led by the members of the SDC on Saturday, 22nd August 2026, for youths of ages 13 to 15 years. The group met at the Parish Hall of Nuestra Señora de la Soledad, in Darasa, Tanauan City, and around 53 youths were present.
God willing, within the central theme, areas to be discovered include fostering a sense of identity, belonging and community in Jesus, which leads to the development of healthy relationships through which our God-given vocation and mission can be lived out.
This set of encounters is being organized in collaboration with Kuya Leo Carandang, the parish youth coordinator who had also assisted the members in the Lenten sessions held earlier in the year.
Each formation session opens with some time for play, nurturing and strengthening new and existing relationships between the youths attending. Once the instruction and prayer time is concluded, all those present are invited for a light meal prepared by the parish.
With hope and gratitude in our hearts, we pray for that the rest of these meaningful weekly appointments with the youth bear fruit and give glory to God.
