WATCH, REFLECT, ACT

The film Radical was screened on Thursday 18 September 2025 during the WATCH, REFLECT, ACT event at the DĦS Conference Centre. Radical is a Mexican comedy-drama, released in 2023, based on a true story by Sergio Juarèz Correa and directed by Christopher Zalla.

Professor Colin Calleja introduced the film, stressing that education should give pupils the freedom to ask questions, explore, and learn through curiosity. He highlighted the need to connect education with real-life experience, with learners taking an active role in their own journey. He also underlined that true education should form thoughtful and independent individuals, rather than being reduced to the simple attainment of a qualification.

Following the screening, participants had the chance to continue reflecting and share their thoughts in an informal atmosphere over refreshments.

The event concludes on Friday 19 September with the screening of the film Tinā. Everyone is warmly invited to join for this final evening.
