Visit to the SDC Centres in Albania
14 September, 2026
From 29 August to 13 September 2026, three members of the Delegation of Malta and Gozo visited the SDC centres of Durrës and Korçë in Albania.
During their stay, Gilbert Borg, Wayne Borg and Joseph Mizzi spent time with the missionary members serving in Albania and participated in the apostolate carried out at the two centres. The visit offered them an opportunity to experience more closely the SDC mission in the country and to share in the daily life of the communities.
While in Albania, they met missionaries from other religious congregations and shared experiences of missionary life and apostolate. They also visited places of spiritual and religious significance and contributed to practical work at the SDC centres and at Preca College.
Gilbert, Wayne and Joseph are three of the five members who were incorporated last December. Their time in Albania provided them with a valuable opportunity to deepen their experience of the SDC’s missionary dimension through service, community life and encounters with those engaged in the Church’s mission.
Let us give thanks to God for this experience and keep Gilbert, Wayne and Joseph in our prayers. May their time in Albania continue to bear fruit in their lives and vocation, and may God abundantly bless the apostolate of the two SDC centres in Albania.
