Visit of the Archbishop of Tirana-Durrës (Malta)

His Grace Mgr Arjan Dodaj FdC, Archbishop of Tirana-Durrës, Albania, visited Malta from 6th to 8th April 2026. During his stay, he was accommodated at Dar il-Ħanin Samaritan in Santa Venera.
While in Malta, he took part in a Thanksgiving Mass marking the 80th birthday of his predecessor, His Excellency Mgr George Frendo OP. He also paid a cordial visit to the Archbishop of Malta, His Grace Mgr Charles J. Scicluna. In addition, he visited St John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta and celebrated Holy Mass at the Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary in Gozo.
Mgr Dodaj also visited the SDC General House, where he spent time in prayer at the resting place of St George Preca. Furthermore, he attended an SDC Wednesday Meeting, during which he addressed the SDC members of the Delegation of Malta, emphasising the importance of the active role of the laity in the Church and expressing his gratitude for their service in proclaiming the Gospel through their charism.
