On Monday, 10th November 2025, during the holiday weekend, the SDC centre of Poznań organised a day out for the young people attending the SDC. For the first time, four young people from Tulce, where the SDC has recently extended its ministry, joined the group from Os. Rusa with the aim of climbing one of the mountainous peaks near the Lower Silesian town of Szklarska Poręba, almost a four-hour drive from Poznań.
They took the 10 km uphill trail, braving the cold, dreary, and foggy weather that surrounded them. About halfway up, the partcipants were rewarded with a visit to the Kamieńczyk Waterfall. After roughly three hours, including a short break, they reached the Szrenica Peak. Although the fog blocked the view, they were still pleased to have a moment to rest and eat something.
On their way down, those present were glad to catch a partial view of the valley and town below as they followed a different route back to the base. Once everyone had returned, the group visited the local parish to attend Mass and pray together. The stay in Szklarska Poręba concluded with a stop at the shopping centre, where they found a variety of traditional sweets and pastries.
It was another positive experience that further strengthened the bond within the SDC group.
