The Jubilee of Catechists (Malta)

The Archdiocese of Malta celebrated the Jubille of Catechists on Wednesday, 12 November 2025, at the Auditorium of the General House of the Society of Christian Doctrine (SDC). The celebration was coordinated by the Lifelong Catechesis within the Archdiocese.
The gathering began with a time of prayer and reflections inspired by St George Preca. Afterwards, those present listened to the homily delivered by Pope Leo XIV during the Catechists’ Jubilee Mass held in Rome on 28 September.
The celebration continued with the sharing of experiences from several catechists involved in the adult catechumenate programme (RCIA), the Kenosis Foundation, the Female’s Section of the SDC, and the Post-Cresima experience within the Neocatechumenal Way.
In his message, Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna expressed his gratitude to the catechists for their dedication within the Church and encouraged them to continue bringing Christ to others.
The celebration concluded with a Eucharist adoration, led by the Tabgha Foundation, followed by the renewal of baptismal promises and the sacramental blessing.
