St Joseph Seniorate (Lipa)

As part of the celebrations for the feast of St George Preca, the SDC members in Lipa shared a presentation about the life of the Founder at the St Joseph Seniorate in Marawoy, Lipa. This residence houses ten retired priests from the Archdiocese of Lipa, over seventy-five years of age.
The presentation, given on the morning of the 23rd of May 2025, was attended by seven priest residents, together with Fr Joden Tenorio, the priest in charge of the residence, and a group of seminarians from the nearby St Francis de Sales Theology Seminary. It consisted of aspects of St George Preca’s life, especially in his role as a seminarian, priest and founder, as well as the main virtues embodied in his spirit.
Also present for this sharing was Cardinal Gaudencio Rosales, a resident of the seniorate, who served as Archbishop of Lipa between 1993 and 2003, and Archbishop of Manila between 2003 and 2011.
We thank God for this opportunity which has made the person and the spirit of St George Preca more understood in this new setting.
