Reopening of the Chapel

Following several weeks of renovation, the Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Blata l-Bajda was reopened to the public on Saturday, 7th June 2025. Situated next to the SDC General House, the chapel serves as a living expression of faith through its architecture.
Within the chapel rest the remains of the Founder of the Society, St George Preca, as well as the first Superior General, Eugenio Borg. The serene atmosphere, thoughtful decoration, and harmonious colours, all contribute to a sense of being in the presence of the Lord God. To the left of the chapel is a discreet entrance leading to the small Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament, where one may remain alone with the One who is alone.

For private prayer:
Monday to Friday: 07.00am – 11.00am and 05.00pm – 06.30pm
Saturday: 09.00am – 11.00am
Mass times:
Monday to Friday: 07.30am
Saturday: 06.00pm
Sunday: 08.00am
On public holidays, the chapel is open solely for the celebration of Mass.
