News from the SDC Centre of Korçë

From 7th to 9th May 2026, the SDC centre of Korçë marked three special occasions. On Thursday, 7th May, the life of Saint George Preca was commemorated through a Mass held in the parish church where one of the members shared a reflection on Saint George Preca with those present. Following the Mass, there was half an hour of Adoration before the Eucharist, during which the Quotidie, written by Saint George Preca, was recited.
Then, on Friday, 8th May, the Prize Day was organised at Preca College, celebrating the talents of the students of the college. Parents and various distinguished personalities from the city of Korçë, including the mayor Sotiraq Filo, were present. The motto chosen by the students was: Go with trust towards your dream! The opening address was delivered by Superior Charlie Camilleri. The prizes were presented by the distinguished guests, who also shared words of encouragement and appreciation.
On 9th May, the Apostolic Administration of Southern Albania celebrated the appointment of the new Apostolic Administrator, Fr Flavio Cavallini, who had been appointed by Pope Leo XIV on 25th April 2026. The SDC members were present for the inaugural Mass which took place in Lushnjë.
