Members of the SDC Youth group gathered at the SDC centre of Kalkara for a reflective and penitential celebration. Fr Clive Seychell was invited to offer a reflection on the occasion. He emphasised how essential it is for every person to ask two fundamental questions: Who am I? and Who is God to me? It is only when one is able to answer these questions that a person can begin his conversion and allow himself to be loved by God.
Following Fr Clive’s reflection, the group prayed the Adoration of the Divine Wounds of Christ, written by St George Preca. This included a period of silence for personal reflection and prayer. The Sacrament of Confession was also available.
The celebration concluded with the Compassion with the Sorrowful Mother, a meditation on Mary’s profound suffering during Christ’s Passion and her grief following the death of her son Jesus.
After the celebration, those present gathered informally to spend time together and share a light meal.
