Leave a Little Room for God (St Albans)

On Saturday 26th April 2025, a day retreat was held at the SDC Centre in St Albans for 30 youths and young adults. The theme of the day was Leave a Little Room for God, in relation to the Jubilee of Hope.
The day began with a reflection led by Fr Robin CSsR, who emphasised the importance of making space for God in one’s life. This was followed by a workshop and group discussions, which provided an opportunity to delve deeper into how God calls young people today. Despite the challenges posed by a materialistic and secular culture, there was a clear sense of openness and acceptance towards God’s calling. Two young adults also shared their testimonies of faith with the group.
Some of the participants took charge of organising the worship hymns throughout the day, as well as coordinating other activities such as games and social moments.
