From 6th to 8th June 2025, a group of ten SDC members travelled to Rome to take part in the Jubilee of Ecclesial Movements, Associations, and New Communities. This special event celebrated the unity and spiritual renewal within the Church.
During their visit, the group took part in a pilgrimage to the Holy Door at St Peter’s Basilica, as well as the other holy doors in Rome’s major basilicas.
On Saturday evening, the participants gathered with thousands of others in St Peter’s Square for the Pentecost Vigil, led by Pope Leo XIV. The celebration continued on Sunday with the Pentecost Mass, also presided over by the Pope.
In his message, the Pope reflected on how the open arms of St Peter’s Square symbolise the unity and hospitality of the Church, an experience that everyone belonging to a Catholic movement, community, or association is ought to live.
