Jubilee of Catechists and Missionaries (Sagua)

On Saturday 25th October 2025, the SDC members of Sagua la Grande centre, together with Monsignor Arturo Gonzalez, Bishop of the Diocese of Santa Clara, and the Diocesan Commission of Mission, organised a special Jubilee for Catechists and Missionaries of the Diocese. Cardinal Juan de la Caridad Garcia, Archbishop of La Havana, was the guest of honour.

During the encounter, Superior Stephen Zammit delivered a reflection with the theme: Catechists and Missionaries, Sowers of Hope. The cardinal shared some of his missionary experiences and afterwards concelebrated Mass together with Bishop Arturo. Many catechists took the opportunity to buy the book Semillas de Esperanza (Seeds of Hope) and other booklets published by the SDC in Cuba. Around 300 catechists and missionaries participated in this event, despite the many difficulties and ordeals which they have to face in their daily life.
