Holy Confirmation (Ruiru)

On Sunday, 16 August 2026, the Bishop of Garissa, the Most Rev. George Muthaka OFM Cap., celebrated Holy Mass at St Francis of Assisi Parish in Ruiru, Kenya, during which 187 adolescents received the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Among those confirmed were 48 adolescents who had been receiving their faith formation at the SDC Centre of Ruiru. Accompanied by the SDC members throughout their preparation, they reached this important milestone in their journey of Christian faith.
The celebration was a joyful occasion for the parish community and another encouraging sign of the growth and strengthening of the Catholic faith in Ruiru.
Let us keep these young people in our prayers, asking the Holy Spirit to continue to guide them on their journey of faith, strengthen them with his gifts, and help them remain faithful witnesses of Christ in their daily lives.
