The Archdiocese of Lipa successfully brought together clergy, religious, lay leaders, young people, and Catholic educators from across the Archdiocese for the General Assembly on the Implementation of Synodal Transformation, held from 22–26 June 2026 at the Angels’ Hills Retreat and Formation Center in Tagaytay City. The assembly was led by Archbishop Gilbert A. Garcera, who joined the participants throughout the gathering and encouraged them to embrace the vision of a more synodal Church.
The SDC was represented by Superior Oliver Aquilina. The gathering also provided a valuable opportunity for the SDC to strengthen its network and establish new relationships with individuals and institutions engaged in the Church’s mission throughout the Archdiocese.
Throughout these days of prayer, dialogue, reflection, and discernment, participants renewed their shared commitment to fostering a truly synodal Church, one that listens attentively, walks together, and faithfully responds to the promptings of the Holy Spirit in carrying forward the mission of evangelization.
