First Holy Communion (Cuba)

On the feast of Corpus Christi, Sunday 22 June 2025, sixteen children from Sagua la Grande, Cuba, received their First Holy Communion in the parish church of the city. In preparation for this occasion, SDC members, together with Father Wilfredo (the parish priest) and two local catechists, held a special meeting for the children and their parents on the preceding Friday. After the celebration of Holy Mass on Sunday, the entire congregation took part in a procession with the Blessed Sacrament, followed by a small gathering organised by the parents at the SDC Centre. Let us pray that these children continue to cherish the Eucharist throughout their lives.
