Lenten Talks for Aspirants

Between Thursday 26 and Saturday 28 February 2026, the Lenten Talks for aspirants and elects (Yr 9–11) attending the SDC centres of Malta and Gozo was organised. The chosen theme was Fejn hi Qalbek? (Where Is Your Heart?).
Three SDC members shared reflections with these adolescents, based on the 5.00 p.m. prayer from the Prayer Watch for Elects entitled I Pray to Become an Elect close to Jesus’ Heart. In this prayer, one asks, in the name of Jesus, for the strength to attend the SDC centre regularly for formation, to grow in likeness to Jesus in humility and gentleness, to value friendship with fellow elect at the centre, and to encourage others to attend the SDC.
The meetings in Malta were held at St Michael School, while in Gozo, on the same dates, they were conducted at the SDC centres of Qala, Nadur and Xewkija.
Let us give thanks to the Lord God for the graces He was pleased to bestow upon all who attended, both through the word that was proclaimed and through the Sacrament of Reconciliation, which was made available throughout the meetings.
