Feast of St John the Baptist (Poznań)

It has become a tradition that towards the end of June, coinciding with the feast of the patron saint of the SDC, St John the Baptist, and the start of the holiday season, an event is organised for all the young people who attend the SDC centre of Poznań together with their families.
The gathering, which was held on 28 June 2025, opened with a celebration during which SDC candidate Marcel Rutkowski shared a reflection inspired by the life and mission of St John the Baptist.
At the end of the celebration, a traditional bonfire was lit as a symbol of the joy brought by the birth of Christ’s forerunner! The event ended with a classic Polish grill, where everyone enjoyed kiełbasy (sausages) and sałatki (salads).
