On Friday, 16th May 2025, St Michael School held its annual Celebration Day, with this year’s theme being Faith and Science. Students and their families had the opportunity to participate in a range of themed activities held in different areas and classrooms. These included scientific experiments, robotics demonstrations, interviews with scientists, an escape room, games and quizzes related to faith, as well as Eucharistic Adoration and a Confession service.
A key highlight of the day was a forum led by Mr George Cassar, a former student of the school, which explored how faith and science can and should work together in the pursuit of truth. A number of students were recognised for their academic achievements, as well as for embodying and practising strong values.
The evening concluded with the play Kważi Xjenza, written by drama teacher Ms Shaian Debono, in which two science-enthusiast students travel back in time to meet historical figures who made significant contributions to human knowledge. The play also conveyed the importance of faith and the virtue of hope, especially in the face of life’s challenges.
The entire event was marked by a strong sense of community and the collaborative efforts of the school’s staff. Thanks be to God for for the ongoing goodness that continues to flourish in the life of St Michael’s School.
