Ceremony of Candidates (Malta)

“I resolve to keep my gaze fixed on Christ Crucified throughout all the days of my life.” So affirmed Mikael Paul Fenech, a young man who received the Ceremony of Candidates on Sunday, 23 November 2025, at the SDC Centre of Qormi II (St George).
The ceremony took place in the presence of the children and young people who attend the SDC centre, together with the Candidate’s parents and relatives. The Director of Candidates, Daniel Micallef, delivered the main address for the occasion. Also present were the Superior General, Roberto Zammit, and the Archpriest of the Parish of St George, Canon Mario Mangion, who each offered their messages at the end of the celebration.
Let us pray for Mikael Paul, that he may come to understand ever more deeply what the Lord Jesus is calling him to, and that he may always remain at the service of the Church. Let us also pray that more young people may respond generously to the call the Lord God is extending to them.
